Frank Murphy
President, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Directors
Frank Murphy was appointed president, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wellcentive, Inc. in June 2011. In that role he is responsible for the strategic vision, sales and marketing, operations, and overall execution for the company. He comes to the company with nearly 30 years of healthcare IT experience.
Prior to joining Wellcentive, Murphy served as president and chief executive officer of Perimeter Health Advisors, LLC, a boutique M&A advisory firm. From 2004 to 2008, he served as president and CEO of HealthPort Technologies, a healthcare software and technology enabled services firm. Prior to that, he served as president of the Physician Services Division at Per-Se Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded business management outsourcing company and the largest physician revenue cycle services provider in the U.S. Per-Se was acquired by McKesson (NYSE:MCK) in 2007.
Earlier in his career, Murphy spent many years at Hospital Corp. of America (HCA), where he began his extensive and prestigious healthcare career. At HCA, he was president and chief executive officer of two regional medical centers and a three hospital healthcare system operating under the company’s umbrella.
Murphy currently serves on the Board of Directors of MedData, one of the nation’s leading providers of revenue cycle services for hospital-based physicians.
Mr. Murphy attended Duke University in Durham, N.C., where he received his undergraduate degree, and his MHA from the Fuqua School of Business
Paul D. Taylor, M.D.
Chief Medical Information Officer
Dr. Taylor is a co-founder of Wellcentive and a practicing internal medicine physician, with experience building and implementing clinical quality improvement systems of care at the physician practice, physician organization, and regional levels.
Dr. Taylor is an established expert in clinical quality improvement. He is the current chair of the Clinical Integration and Oversight Committee for the Lakeshore Health Network physician organization, a leader in Michigan for clinical quality improvement programs, which is consistently ranked in the state’s top three physician organizations. He has served on the Executive Committee and Finance and Operations Committee for the Primary Care Network for Trinity Health – Mercy Health Partners, as well as a quality improvement workgroup for a regional Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded health information exchange project.
Dr. Taylor graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his residency training at the University of Michigan Hospitals. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Terry Boch
Senior VP, Sales and Marketing
Terry Boch is a 25-year healthcare industry veteran with a proven track record of bringing innovative and energetic leadership in establishing, developing, growing, and operating high growth healthcare technology companies.
Ms. Boch joined Wellcentive as Senior Vice President in February 2013 with responsibility for driving strategic growth and market positioning initiatives as the industry leading provider of innovative population health management and data analytics solutions. In this role, she leads global business strategy, marketing, sales, and business development.
Ms. Boch has a broad range of experience across the healthcare spectrum, including business and strategic planning, executive sales and marketing leadership, strategic acquisitions, and operations and technology deployment across provider, payer, and consulting market segments. She has served in leadership roles for companies such as Covisint, Allscripts, United Healthcare, Carolinas Healthcare System, MediClick, and KPMG.
In addition to her executive responsibilities at Wellcentive, Ms. Boch serves as an Advisory Board member for JET Health Solutions, a subsidiary of AAJ Technologies based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Kirk Elder
Chief Technology Officer
Kirk Elder is a 15-year veteran of Internet business models and technologies, and his goals are to apply these experiences to create revolutionary population health analytics solutions for Wellcentive.
Previously, Mr. Elder held senior management and architecture positions at healthcare abstraction and analytics firms, as well as industry-leading SaaS medical record documentation solutions. He has deep experience in the development of innovative clinical analytics, dictation, speech recognition, natural language processing, BPM, and B2B Solutions. He is an expert in technology life-cycle management, product to market initiatives, and agile and open source engineering techniques.
Mr. Elder holds a B.S. in Physics with a certificate in Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology. During his education, he worked in experimental non-linear dynamics, chaos theory, and quantum mechanics.
Mason Beard
SVP, Solutions and Operations
Mr. Beard is a co-founder of Wellcentive, with experience designing and implementing flagship medical software systems.
Previously, he was a clinical application designer for Patient Care Technologies, a MEDITECH company (one of the oldest software companies in the U.S.), where he developed a rules-based, task-oriented healthcare application for optimizing workflow in the home care setting. This industry-leading product helped MEDITECH retain clients and capture more of its target market.
He designed Wellcentive’s software application suite and is currently responsible for R & D, product strategy and future product design.
Mr. Beard earned a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Concordia University, Wisconsin and an M.A. in Health Studies/Health Promotion from the University of Alabama.
Richard H. Walsh
VP, Corporate Development
Mr. Walsh brings nearly two decades of experience in the continuously evolving healthcare information technology sector to Wellcentive. He provides comprehensive growth strategies, leverages tactical relationships, and delivers foundational analytics for all of the company’s business development, product development, sales, and marketing efforts.
After an internship at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Mr. Walsh joined the Life Sciences Division of IBM. He entered the health IT space via a regional sales management position in the ambulatory EHR space at A4 Health Systems, which was acquired by Allscripts. Most recently, he developed the Strategic Initiatives division at Greenway Medical Technologies, where he directed the company’s ventures with national consultancies into the stimulus-backed realms of grant stewardship, payer, HIE, REC, FQHC, PCMH, ACO and related national public policy projects.
Mr. Walsh earned a B.A. in business and psychology from Auburn University. He resides in north Atlanta with his wife and two boys.
Cindy Kellogg
Controller
Ms. Kellogg is responsible for all financial reporting functions, as well as treasury services and all other areas of finance for Wellcentive. Cindy is a Certified Public Accountant with 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, with over 14 of those years in various senior management level positions. Prior to joining Wellcentive, she served as Vice President of Financial Operations for HealthPort (Alpharetta, GA), Controller for C. H. Guenther & Sons, Inc. (San Antonio, TX) and as Assistant U.S. Controller for Cemex, U.S.A. (Houston, TX). Cindy graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
